Rotary Dryer
Introduction:
The wet material is sent to the hopper by a belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then enter the feeding end through the feeding pipe. The inclination of the feeding pipe should be greater than the natural inclination of the material so that the material can flow into the dryer smoothly. The dryer is a rotating cylinder slightly inclined to the horizontal. The material is added from the higher end, and the heat carrier and the material flow into the cylinder together. With the rotation of the cylinder, the material moves to the lower end by gravity. When the wet material moves forward in the cylinder, it directly or indirectly receives heat from the heating medium, so that the wet material can be dried, and then sent out through a belt or screw conveyor at the discharge end. A copy board is installed on the inner wall of the cylinder. Its function is to pick up and scatter the materials to increase the contact surface between the materials and the airflow to increase the drying rate and promote the advancement of the materials. The heating medium is generally divided into hot air, flue gas, etc. After the heating medium passes through the dryer, a cyclone dust collector is generally required to capture the materials carried in the gas. If it is necessary to further reduce the dust content of the exhaust gas, it should be discharged after passing through a bag type dust catcher or a wet dust collector.

Features of rotary dryer:
1. Strong anti-overload ability, large processing capacity, low fuel consumption and low drying cost.
2. Adopting the downstream drying method, the flue gas and the wet material enter the dryer from the same side, the high temperature flue gas can be used to obtain high evaporation intensity, the outlet temperature of the dryer is low, and the thermal efficiency is high.
3. The use of dispersing device, feeding device, discharging device, cyclone dust removal device, so as to prevent the drying machine feeding jam, discontinuity, unevenness and return of materials, and reduce the load of the dust removal system.
4. The dryer adopts the "adjustable supporting roller device", so that the matching of the supporting roller and the rolling ring is always in linear contact, thereby greatly reducing wear and power loss.
5. It adopts open gear transmission, which has the characteristics of reasonable structure, easy operation, long service life, high efficiency and convenient maintenance.
In the drying process, downstream operations are mostly used, and its main features are:
1. At the hot end of the dryer, the temperature difference between the material and the hot gas is large, the heat exchange process is rapid, a large amount of water is easy to evaporate, and it is suitable for materials with high initial moisture.
2. After the viscous material enters the dryer, because the surface moisture is easy to evaporate, the adhesion can be reduced, which is beneficial to the movement of the material. When it is used to dry wet coal, it can avoid direct contact of high-temperature gas with dry coal to cause fire.
3. The low negative pressure at the hot end of the downstream operation, that can reduce the amount of air leakage into the drying and help stabilize the temperature and flow rate of the hot air in the dryer.
4. Feeding and coal supply are set at the same hot end as the dryer, so the workshop layout is more convenient.
5. The discharge temperature of the downstream dryer is low, and it can generally be conveyed by a belt conveyor.
